Video killed the radio star

There are two things I have done recently that I’d never done before – well, probably more, but two I’m thinking of right this moment: radio and video.

I’ve been on the radio twice in the past month, and thanks to the wonderful hosts of the Stardust Show on Bro Radio, Claire Raikes and Lynne Lauren, it’s been a fab, fun, pain-free experience.

I’ve also been filming the video for the Paradox Experience website, and that was completely the opposite of a piece of cake. (Hmmm. What would be the opposite of a piece of cake? A mountain of mash, maybe? Anyway.) It took two days and about 70 takes. The result is the 2-minute video which is now on the website… but I’ve also put together a small selection of the ones that didn’t make it:

I’m pondering – and writing about – how it was so hard for me to be in flow while doing this. Lack of practice, overthinking it, lots of stuff! There will be another blog post soon. In the meantime, have a great bank holiday weekend. x
